Kimberly Perkins is an international Captain flying a Gulfstream 650. She is amongst only 2% of all pilots in the United States – a female Captain. Through her published works and public speaking, she is an outspoken leader on diversity and inclusivity, cognitive science and aviation safety. Her lived experiences and research has fueled her passion as a staunch advocate for implementing cognitive science research into aviation safety systems.

After two years of living in Nigeria and a year in Malaysia, she turned her passion for philanthropy and aviation into a grassroots effort to connect travelers with students throughout the developing world with the creation of Aviation for Humanity. Kimberly holds a bachelor’s degree in Aviation: Flight Operations and a master’s degree in Political Science. She resides in Seattle, WA with her husband and two daughters.
